Merino 100% Wool Socks

All wool socks should be hand-washed in COOL WATER and MUST be air-dried.  Putting them in the dryer will result in extreme shrinkage and a  great disappointment to you.  If your socks fit too tightly, they will wear excessively.  Select the size that feels comfortable.  We have not been able to do the pre-shrink treatment in the last several years.

**I do personally wash my wool socks in a machine washer, but only with cold water, a gentle soap and the delicate cycle.  Agitation of wet wool is what causes felting and shrinkage of the knit. -- Jerry Saude

Hand Spinners and Quilters
Raw fleeces are available in the spring and occasionally throughout the year.  Merino wool unwashed and skirted is $ 3.50 lb.   We remove all tags and stained wool.Washed wool is $ 6.50 lb. (Shipping charges will be based upon actual rates at the time of order.)
