Introducing Kookaburro Co.'s
Woolwash
The
Kookaburra Company is now manufacturing Kookaburra woolwash and sheepskin
shampoo in America with an improved formula. They've added Lanolin to enhance
the handle of the sheepskin and the luster of the wool, and chosen an American
made, EPA approved bacteriostat.
The
oil extracted from the leaves of the Australian Tea Tree (Melaleuca Alternifolia)
is well known to be effective against dust mite, a cause of allergen for asthma
sufferers, particularly infants. Tea Tree Oil is also noted for it's general
beneficial qualities. A natural fungicide and bacteriostat, it also helps in the
healing of wounds and reduces skin irritation. While Kookaburra woolwash and
sheepskin shampoo was developed for sheepskin and woolen products, it's great
for the laundering of bed linen and clothing for asthma sufferers where dust
mite is a critical matter. Woolwash is water-based and completely biodegradable.
It contains no enzymes, phosphates, peroxide, or alkali. For hand washing use 1
tablespoon/ gallon of water. For machine washing use 1-2 ounces for each load.
We have tried this product and really like it for our own personal socks.
Available in 2-oz bottle - $1.25 and the convenient 16-oz bottles with an
attached measuring chamber - $8.50. (shipping included on 16 oz.)
